Thoqsikhar is the name of the ancient fort of Khaplu. It was the abode of the rajas of Khaplu in olden times, and it was only after a siege of Thoqsikhar that the new Khaplu Fort (Yabgo Fort) was constructed to house the royal family. Currently, an old mosque exists at the top of the trail, a site that overlooks the entire Khaplu valley.

The visitor can enjoy walking at one’s own pace up the trail; looking at the local culture and lifestyle on the way; and then a panoramic view from the top! Legend has it that all wishes and prayers come true at the mosque atop the mountain – care to give it a try?

The trek begins from Garbuchong village. The visitor walks along the ancient steps, witnessing the local culture and lifestyle up close and personal.

Throughout the trail, one gets a chance to witness breathtaking views of Khaplu valley.

Once at the top, the visitor can marvel at the old mosque – spend some time there in silence or walk to the edge of the view point and gaze at the panoramic expanse of Khaplu valley!
