Each village of Baltistan, while diverse in its own way, has one thing very much in common. Each will have its own summer pasture high up in the mountains. In the local Balti tongue, this pasture is called ‘Broq’.
Khaplu Broq is a sight to behold! Idyllic, serene, peaceful – these are just some words that would describe the green oasis nestled between towering rocky peaks.
